Waikato's Premier Squash and Tennis Club

Welcome to the Cambridge Racquets Club website. We are physically located on the corner of Thornton Rd and Albert St, Cambridge, Waipa, New Zealand.

Our club is passionate about providing pathways for anyone to play - young or old. We are proud of the top class facilities we offer to our community, and our strong member base and friendly atmosphere make Cambridge Racquets Club your first point of call for squash and tennis in the region.

We have something for everyone. From our tennis men's and ladies leagues, to squash business house; or for those with a more competitive edge, our interclub teams and competitions are strong.

Our Club Manager Wayne is always happy to answer questions, so contact us today!

Cambridge Racquets Club COVID - 19 Update

As the global Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak continues to evolve, we wanted to share with you some important information about the steps we’re taking to minimize the risk of exposure to both our members, visitors and our team.
We’re taking additional care to ensure our facilities are clean, hygienic environments for both our members & visitors.
We are actively following all health and travel advice issued by the New Zealand Government, & we will be closely monitoring the situation and doing everything we can to minimize the impact on our club.  It goes without saying that this is a challenging time for us all.

We remain absolutely committed to doing everything we can to put the health and safety of our CRC members & community first.
Directives have now come through from our Regional & National sporting bodies.

As a result, the following actions are being taken by the club (until further notice):
- The Clubhouse facilities will remain open for members use. Members are encouraged to use the court facilities during this period, but we do discourage members from social mingling after matches.
- A decision will be made next week regarding all social club activities, however, the courts will remain open for members.
- Members choosing to play should follow the social distancing guidelines and NZ Government advice and consider their own circumstances carefully.
- Members will need to bring their own drinks and balls
- Members & visitors must sign into the club upon arrival
- All Interclub and tournaments have been cancelled until further notice
- Individual & small ratio tennis squad coaching will still be available
- All junior squash coaching has been cancelled until further notice

It is imperative that anyone who has been advised to self-isolate or stay at home based on the advice on the NZ Government Health website should not take part in tennis or squash activities for the duration of the specified period and we would ask that members do not come to the Club if they have any concerns about their health.

Please refer to the attached documents from Squash Waikato & Waikato Tennis regarding their protocols for dealing with this issue.
More information will be emailed out to all club members early next week with more detailed information regarding the clubs protocols over the coming weeks & months.
